NDC supporters happy with Black Stars' defeat "i popped champagne when Ghana lost"

Some supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) are celebrating the bloody defeat of the Ghana Black Stars at the hands of the Indomitable in thier AFCON 2017 semi-final match on Thursday.

Cameroon wickedly and mercilessly "bloodied" the Black Stars two goals to nil, with the goals coming in the 72nd minute and in the 93rd minute of match.

Cameroon now advance to the final, while Ghana return home after yet another failed attempt to secure a trophy that has eluded the country for 32 years.

Although the defeat has come as a shock to many Ghanaians, some supporters of the NDC are happy that the team lost.

Some of them who spoke to YEN anonymously said they were excited that the team lost because President Nana Akufo-Addo would have taken credit if the team had won the competition.

According to them, NPP would have used the victory as a campaign message, something they said would adversely affect the political fortunes of the NDC.

On social media, some NDC supporters celebrated the defeat excitedly.

Meanwhile, many Ghanaians are calling on the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to sack Black Stars coach, Avram Grant, who they described as a disaster.
