Elder, 50 Butchered in Chieftaincy Clash

An elder in a feuding chieftaincy faction in his mid 50s has suffered multiple machete wounds in the South municipality of the Greater Accra Region in a raging clash in the area
Elder Jacob Otabil who however survived the attack from aggrieved supporters of the other faction according to Bryt Fm’s Odiyifo Yaw Charles, is currently receiving treatment at a health facility in the area.
Queen mother of the community Naa Yeboawa explained the cause of clash is as a result of the Annan, Afadi and Akrasi families all laying claim as their rightful heir to the chieftaincy title in the area.
“The Annan, Akrasi and Afadi families are all royals to ascend the throne but the Akrasi family are forcing themselves to be considered ” she claimed.
The demise of the former chief which occurred in 2015 sparked the tension in the community with various contenders seeking to succeed the vacant stool.
