The Electoral Commission (EC) and the Ashanti Regional Police Command have revealed that the three bags of intercepted thumb printed ballot papers from at Madison Lodge near Aboude restaurant at TUC, a suburb of the Kumasi Metropolis are fake.
At an emergency news conference, the Regional Director of the EC Mr Serebuor Quaicoo said theballot papers lacked serial numbers and the ink used in thumb printing them is also fake.
The Ashanti Regional Police Commander COP Nathan Kofi Boakye who is very angry over the development, accused some party activists in the region of being on a ”provocative mission”
The arrested receptionists also revealed that three persons checked into the facility and after depositing their bags containing the fake thumb printed ballots left and have still not returned until the police raided the place.
