Mahama won’t apologize for comments -Asiedu Nketia Replies MFWA

The General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Mr Johnson Asiedu Nketia has shot down calls for president Mahama to apologize for his alleged divisive comments while on campaign in Lawra in the Upper West region.
“Why will they be asking the president to apologize, what crime has he committed”, he asked on Abusua Nkomo hosted by Lantam Papanko
He revealed that he himself  has on several platforms stated it before the president maintaining that it is the bitter truth. According to him, the late Alhaji Aliu Mahama was used and dumped and so will same  be done to Dr  Mahamudu Bawumia.
President Mahama at Lawra last week said there is no way Dr Bawumia will be allowed to lead the NPP as its flagbearer indicating that they are only interested in using him in the pursuit of an agenda after which he will be dumped.
“Sometimes I feel sad when I see some of our northern brothers running and also doing this. They will use you and dump you. Let anything happen today and let our brother Bawumia say he is standing for president in NPP. They will never give it to him I can assure you,” he said.
The Media Foundation for West Africa (MFWA) in a statement is however  demanding that President Mahama should publicly apologize  for the comments they state is in bad taste.
But the NDC scribe says the calls are needless and baseless  insisting that President John Dramani Mahama only spoke the truth reiterating that the NPP is a tribalized party that is known for fanning tribalism and ethnocentrism.
“Check from the history of the NPP which was born out of UP and you will understand. Those calling for the president to apologize should do same for comments made by Osafo Marfo and Nana Addo himself”, he stated
