WE DON'T NEED ALAWA WE NEED KALYPO - NURSE CRY OUT

Some nurses in the country have depicted their want for Kalypo, a fruit juice instead of a monthly allowance which is to serve as bait for cushioning them in the payment of their tuition fees.

President Dramani Mahama recently announced the restoration of nursing student allowance despite the earlier claim that it is the right policy for Ghana for its scrap.

Making the reversal announcement, the president cited delays in the legal framework to migrate nursing students to the student loan scheme.

Some nurses have however opted for a Kalypo instead of the allowance. In what is termed as “Kalfie’’ (pictures taken whiles sipping Kalypo) going viral after the flag bearer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) was spotted doing same, some of these nurses have publicly endorsed Nana Addo after publicly exhibiting their kalfie.

With their picture exhibition, they mean to say, “we are for Nana Akuffo Addo. We want kalypo and not “alawa”.
