The opposition New Patriotic Party, NPP has promised to build large seating theatres in all the regions of Ghana among other drafted manifesto promises targeted to boost the Creative Art Industry. As part of their manifesto launched Sunday, 9th October, the NPP outlined the following promises aimed at making the Creative Arts Industry something to write home about: That they will collaborate with the private sector interests to acquire the technology and equipment needed to log creative works, in order to determine true and deserved royalties. They will promote regional and district literature, music, dance and drama competitions, particularly in schools and colleges. Pursue the construction of modern large seating theatre in every regional capital except Accra, beginning with Tokoradi, Tamale, and Kumasi, as well as setting up an additional Copyright Office in Tamale to cater for the northern sector in addition to the existing ones in Kumasi and Accra.
