The police at Effiduase have released thirty-seven (37) year old Florence Osei, also known as Afua Birago who was picked up in connection with the death of Confidence Kwadwo Baah.
It is alleged that the lady who is a longtime girlfriend to the deceased journalist, spent the night with him prior to his death and was therefore arrested and subsequently spent a night in police detention on suspicion she might have played a role.
According to Effiduase District Commander, DSP Douglas Kumah, his outfit after preliminary interrogation and investigations has found nothing incriminating against the suspect.
He commended her for being cooperative during their investigations and have subsequently released her on bail.
Ultimatefmonline.com can confirm that the preliminary autopsy report conducted by the pathologists is out. A further examination is expected to be conducted to confirm the current finding which is expected to take two weeks.
As a result, blood sample, liver and stomach parts are expected have been sent to the Ghana Standards Authority Forensic Laboratory in Accra for toxicological analysis.
The broadcast journalist died on Sunday morning at the Effiduase Government Hospital after he was spotted by his aunt earlier that morning in his room motionless and rushed to the facility.
His girlfriend Florence Osei also known as Afua Birago 37, who was reported to have spent the night with him before his demise has been picked up for questioning by the Effididuase police but has since been freed.
