The actress in an interview with Kumasi-based Ashh FM confirmed her support for the leading opposition party, NPP.
According to a report by seancitygh.com, the actress said on the station that a press conference dubbed ‘Agenda 57%’ will be held soon to allow her and other actors to officially endorse the flag bearer of the NPP, Nana Akuffo Addo and embark on Agenda 57% for him ahead of the December 7 election.
“We’re holding a press conference in Kumasi tomorrow to officially endorse NPP and Nana Akuffo Addo. The NDC government has totally messed up everything in the country. Electricity bills are high and businesses have also collapsed. We visited patients at the Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital recently and if you look at how people are suffering because of high bills, you will cry for them. In fact, the movie industry has collapsed because of bad governance by the NDC.
If you are talking about celebrities in Ghana, talk about Agya Koo, Lilwin, Matilda Asare, Akrobeto and the rest.
The NDC cannot buy our minds with their cars. If they help put things in order for a resilient economy, we can buy ourselves cars.” Matilda Asare is reported to have said on the Kencity Media-owned radio station.
Zionfelix.net hours ago reported that a pres conference will be held on Wednesday, September 21 in Kumasi for Agya Koo and Matilda Asare to officially endorse Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
Matilda Asare joins Socrate Safo, A-Plus, Lucky Mensah, Leo Mensah, Bibi Bright and other celebrities who are working to win votes for Nana Addo ahead of this year’s polls.
