Thieves beaten to pulp by nursing students

Two suspected thieves believed to be in their 30s have been beaten to pulp by students of Dunkwa Nursing and Midwifery Training School at Dunkwa-Offin in the Central Region

According to reports, thieves have being terrorising students of the school, thus robbing them of their valuables.

The two sustained serious injuries on their bodies.

Luck eluded the suspects who attempted stealing from the students on Sunday dawn, when they were caught by the students.

According to an eyewitness Moses Adu, it took the intervention of the Dunkwa police to rescue the suspects from the aggrieved students.

‘The students almost lynched the suspects,’ he said.

Both thieves are currently receiving treatment at the Dunkwa Government Hospital, but one is reported to have passed out as a result of the beating.

Confirming the incident to Ultimatefmonline.com via phone, the Dunkwa Police Commander Superintendent Delay Dzansi explained that the police have not been able to interrogate the suspects due to the severity of the beating.

‘We have not been able to question them, one of them is still unconscious, we cannot put their names in the public domain, because we don’t know if they are real thieves or not, they are not in stable condition to answer questions, no arrest has been made yet because it was a mob action, and we will have to go the professional way, we will go to the hospital later in the day to check on them,’ he said.
