President John Mahama has revealed his undying love for Shatta Wale’s smash hit single, ‘Kakai’.
The president, who is an avid follower of Ghana’s entertainment industry, made the disclosure during his Accounting to the People tour in Tema Wednesday.
He commended the dancehall act for “his creativity” and revealed that the first time he heard the song, he inquired who did the song and it was revealed to him that it was Shatta Wale.
The President tried to sing a line or two of the song said, “Shatta Wale come like Kakai” much to the excitement of the teeming party supporters.
President Mahama during an interview on Uniiq FM in August last year, as part of activities, to mark World Youth Day reveal some of his favourites stars in the Ghanaian music and movie industries.
The President mentioned Gyadu Blay-Ambolley, Shasha Marley, Kojo Antwi, John Dumelo, Lil Win, Agya Koo, Wutah, VIP, Emilia Brobbey, Kyeiwaa, Jackie Appiah, as his favourite actors and actresses.
The revelation generated a lot of controversy because some key persons were conspicuously missing from the list.
